14×28 Swiss Cabin in Tecumseh Nebraska
Prefab Cabin Project by Creative Backyards
Deb had a sewing practice that had outgrown every corner of her house in Tecumseh, Nebraska. A dedicated space of her own was long overdue.
This 14×28 Swiss Cabin in Nebraska was built by Mid-America Structures and finished in white siding and trim with a charcoal metal roof. The contrast is clean and quietly modern without trying too hard. A 4-foot covered porch gives the building a welcoming entry that makes the walk out there feel intentional. Inside, double pane windows keep the light consistent and the temperature manageable through Nebraska seasons. The 8-foot roof dormer lifts the whole interior, adding airflow and a sense of openness that a standard roofline just doesn’t deliver.
Deb knew exactly what she was after. Getting to build it was the fun part, and we’re still pretty happy with how it turned out.
