Her 14×32 Villa in Nebraska was built by Mid-America Structures and finished in white painted siding with charcoal trim and a charcoal metal roof. The 12-foot roof dormer does a lot of work, flooding the interior with natural light and giving the space an openness that the square footage alone doesn’t tell. Double pane windows keep it comfortable through Nebraska winters and summers without making her choose between fresh air and focus. At 448 square feet, it’s enough room to spread out and actually work. We also connected Jill with local contractors to finish the interior the way she envisioned it, because the shell is only half the story.
