Raven needed a purpose-built space for whelping on her rural property near Murdock, Nebraska. A standard shed wasn’t going to meet the demands of caring for newborn dogs.

A 16×24 Country Barn gave her a structure built for the job. White painted siding, black trim, and a black metal roof give it a clean, classic look that fits her rural Nebraska property. The 8-foot sidewalls give her comfortable working height inside. Spray foam insulation and insulated windows keep the interior temperature stable, which matters when you’re caring for newborns. A full wiring package means she has power where she needs it, and 2×6 stud framing gives the whole structure a level of solidity you can feel. Creative Backyards worked through the custom specs with Raven and Mid-America Structures built and delivered it. She now has a 384-square-foot barn near Murdock, Nebraska purpose-built for her dogs.
