The United Yezidi Community in Malcolm, Nebraska needed a sheltered space at their cemetery that could support gatherings and events through every season.
A 28x55x9 carport installed on their existing concrete pad gave them the covered area they needed without requiring a full building. Enclosing two sides provides meaningful protection from wind and weather while keeping the space open and accessible for gatherings of any size. Light gray keeps the look respectful and understated, fitting for a cemetery setting. Creative Backyards worked through the solution with the community and Northwest Missouri Carports built and installed it. The United Yezidi Community now has 1,540 square feet of reliable covered space to host events and honor their traditions year-round.
