Shed Project by Creative Backyards

Ed needed serious storage. Judy needed a place to grow. They both needed it to look like it belonged together in their Missouri Valley, Iowa backyard.

They each picked their own building and landed on the same color scheme without compromising. Ed went with a 12×24 Lofted Utility Shed and Judy chose an 8×16 Portable Greenhouse. Rustic red painted siding with Yellowstone roof and trim ties both structures together and gives the backyard a cohesive, intentional look that turns heads. The pairing works because neither building feels like an afterthought.

Ed’s shed is built for serious storage. Double doors with transoms let in light and make it easy to move larger items in and out. A 36-inch entry door and a window round out the functionality. The loft adds overhead storage without eating into the main floor space, giving him room to spread out and actually organize what he has.

Judy’s greenhouse is set up to grow. Double wall 8mm polycarbonate panels hold heat and diffuse light evenly across the growing space. Interior shelving keeps plants organized and off the ground so she can make the most of every square foot. It’s a proper setup for someone who takes gardening seriously.

Creative Backyards worked with Ed and Judy to find the right fit for both buildings. Mid-America Structures built and delivered both. They now have a backyard in Missouri Valley, Iowa that works as hard as they do.
